The T7 tank shape takes both magnetic and strap-mount tank bags without a dedicated adapter. Riders converge on the Kriega US-5 / US-10 harness (strap-mount, works over the plastic tank cover) and the Enduristan Sandstorm 4H (strap-mount, waterproof roll-top). Magnetic bases work on the metal filler ring only, not the plastic shroud, so most owners choose strap systems here.
Rider, passenger, cargo and accessories combined, Yamaha sets a maximum load of 186 kg for the 2025 Tenere 700, Canada market. That is a total for everything the bike is carrying, not a luggage allowance. That combined figure and the rack figure on this page measure different things. The rack figure is only what may sit on the rack itself.
Yamaha publishes no load rating for the rear carrier. There is no factory number to work to.

No. The 689 cc CP2 engine is over the LAMS 660 cc ceiling and above the LAMS power-to-weight limit, so the T7 is not on the approved LAMS list in Australia. Learner and provisional riders need a LAMS-approved bike instead.
